The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Thursday, April 16, 2026. A total of 632,788 results are now available for candidates to check.
In a statement issued on Friday and signed by the Board’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, candidates were advised to check their results by sending “UTMERESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number used during registration.
JAMB clarified that, for now, candidates can only view their results, as the option to print result slips has not yet been activated.
The Board also issued a stern warning against any attempt to manipulate or alter result messages received from its official platforms. It emphasized that such actions are considered serious criminal offences.
“Candidates are strongly cautioned against manipulating the SMS received from the official platform (55019/66019) to fabricate or alter scores with the intent to mislead others, including parents. Such actions constitute a serious criminal offence,” the statement read.
JAMB disclosed that it has already begun taking action against offenders. According to the Board, two candidates and one parent are currently in custody for allegedly falsifying UTME scores using artificial intelligence and other digital methods.
“Any candidate found culpable will face the full consequences of the law,” the Board added.
The examination body further reassured the public that the UTME process is still ongoing, noting that more results will be released in batches as they are processed.
