Naira Falls to N1,359/$ in Official Market

The naira depreciated to N1,359 per dollar on Tuesday in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM).

Despite the drop in the official market, the currency remained unchanged at N1,360 per dollar in the parallel market.

Figures released by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) indicated that the official exchange rate weakened from N1,353.5 per dollar on Monday to N1,359 per dollar, representing a N5.5 depreciation within a day.
