Professor Frances Ngozi Chukwukere has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of K.O. Mbadiwe University, Ogboko, Imo State.
Her appointment followed the approval of the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma, and takes immediate effect.
The appointment was disclosed in a statement by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation and Strategy, Declan Emelumba.
Chukwukere brings academic experience
Before her appointment, Chukwukere served as a Professor of Linguistics at Imo State University, Owerri, where she built an academic career in language and linguistic studies.
Her emergence marks a new leadership phase for K.O. Mbadiwe University as the institution continues to strengthen its academic and administrative development.
The new Vice-Chancellor is expected to provide leadership in advancing the university’s academic programmes, research, innovation and institutional growth.
