JAMB Mock Results Out: 20 CBT Centres Blacklisted Following Technical Failure

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued on Tuesday, JAMB’s spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, revealed that the board has also delisted 20 computer-based test (CBT) centres due to “technical inaccuracies” that affected the conduct of the examination in parts of the country.

The mock exam, held on Saturday, March 27, was disrupted in several locations, leaving many candidates stranded after technical issues delayed the start of the test for hours. The situation triggered widespread concern and reactions, particularly across social media platforms.

Benjamin confirmed that the results are now accessible via JAMB’s portal. Candidates can also check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number registered for the 2026 UTME.

According to him, a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination, while 152,586 successfully sat for the test, which was conducted across 989 CBT centres nationwide.

He further cautioned candidates against falling victim to fraudsters, especially those operating on WhatsApp, who claim to manipulate or inflate examination scores.

“Such claims are false and criminal,” he warned, adding that any candidate found engaging in such activities risks having their registration cancelled.

Benjamin also noted that where such violations are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or withdrawn.

He added that the main UTME is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 16, 2026.
