The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the commencement of examination slip printing for candidates registered for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The board made the announcement on Thursday, urging candidates to visit its official website to download and print their slips ahead of the examination.

According to JAMB, the examination slip contains vital details including the candidate’s exam venue, date, and time, and serves as a mandatory document for entry into the examination hall.

Candidates are required to log on to jamb.gov.ng and click on the “2026 Slip Printing” link to access their slips.

The announcement comes amid the circulation of a fake press release claiming that the examination had been postponed. JAMB dismissed the report as “malicious and fake,” advising candidates to ignore such misinformation.

The 2026 UTME is scheduled to take place from Thursday, April 16, to Saturday, April 25, 2026.

Earlier, the board conducted a mock examination on Saturday, March 28, which experienced technical issues at some Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres. Out of the 224,597 candidates who registered for the mock exam, 152,586 successfully sat for the test across 989 centres nationwide. JAMB disclosed that more than 20 centres were delisted due to technical shortcomings.

The board also cautioned candidates against engaging with fraudsters, particularly on WhatsApp, who claim they can manipulate or inflate scores. JAMB described such claims as false and criminal, warning that any candidate found culpable risks having their registration cancelled or results withheld.
