The wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has announced a free one-month computer training programme aimed at equipping secondary school students and young people across the state with essential digital skills.
The programme is being organised through her Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative as part of efforts to empower young people with practical skills needed to participate in an increasingly digital economy.
According to the organisers, the training focuses on basic computer skills and is designed to help participants build confidence in using technology for education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal development.
Training begins August 24
The one-month programme commenced on August 24, 2026, with classes scheduled to take place three times a week at the Healthy Living Complex, No. 6, Road 13, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.
The programme is open to secondary school students and young people interested in developing foundational computer skills.
Dr Soludo said access to digital skills has become increasingly important for young people, particularly as technology continues to influence education, employment and business opportunities.
She encouraged interested participants to take advantage of the opportunity and develop practical computer knowledge that can support their future goals.
Digital skills for young people
The initiative highlights the growing importance of digital literacy among young people in Nigeria, particularly for students who may have limited access to computers and formal technology training.
Participants are expected to attend classes throughout the one-month programme, with registration available through the initiative’s online registration portal.
The programme is expected to provide participants with a basic foundation in computer use while helping them become more confident in navigating today’s digital environment.
