In a major boost to local education and public health, the Rotary Club of Abuja Sapphire has officially inaugurated and donated a suite of community projects to public schools in the Damangaza community of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The initiative, described as a “three-in-one” intervention, focuses on restoring student dignity and improving the learning environment through critical infrastructure upgrades.
Project Highlights: Sanitation and Classroom Support
The club’s intervention addressed urgent needs in both primary and secondary education tiers:
  • Junior Secondary School: Construction of a brand-new six-unit toilet facility.
  • Primary School: Full renovation of an existing four-unit toilet facility.
  • Classroom Furniture: Provision of 60 two-in-one desks, designed to improve student comfort and focus.

“By equipping these classrooms… we are telling every child here that they matter, that their education matters, and that their comfort in the classroom matters,” stated Dr. Pat Ifeanyi Oramah, President of Rotary Club Abuja Sapphire.

The projects received high praise from both Rotary leadership and government officials for their alignment with national development goals:
