The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is set to host an education summit aimed at strengthening Christian education, promoting biblical values in schools and improving collaboration among stakeholders in the education sector.
The summit will take place on November 5, 2026, at the church’s international headquarters in Redemption City, Mowe, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
According to a statement signed by the Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management Secretary, Pastor Pius Isiekwene, the event will be convened by the wife of the RCCG General Overseer, Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye.
The summit’s theme is “Revisiting Kingdom Education: The Role of Stakeholders.”
Summit to Address Funding, Teaching and School Leadership
Participants are expected to discuss strategies for integrating biblical principles into classroom teaching and school leadership, improving funding for Christian education and strengthening cooperation among stakeholders.
Other areas of focus include distinguishing secular humanism from a biblical worldview, developing apologetics, promoting transformational teaching and leadership, and establishing sustainable approaches to Christian education.
According to the organisers, kingdom education seeks to develop children intellectually, spiritually and morally, preparing them to make meaningful contributions to society.
Folu Adeboye Highlights Importance of Kingdom Education
Speaking at the church’s international headquarters, Adeboye said the need for kingdom education had become increasingly important because of the challenges facing children in contemporary society.
She explained that the approach could help children better understand their identity, background and purpose in life.
The summit is expected to bring together experienced educators, school administrators, senior pastors and other professionals to examine the responsibilities of stakeholders in the church’s formal education system.
RCCG Operates Hundreds of Schools
The RCCG operates approximately 350 nursery and primary schools in Nigeria and other countries through its formal education agency, Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management.
The proposed summit will provide a platform for participants to discuss ways to strengthen the church’s educational activities, improve school leadership and promote the values underpinning its approach to education.
